Onyx
The Andean Stone Company also quarries and distributes Peruvian Onyx to the United States and many of its international distribution partners. Onyx is a banded variety of chalcedony (quartz). The colors of its bands range from white to almost any other color. The most common style of Onyx features white with alternating bands of orange.
Onyx has been prized by architects and designers and artists for centuries. Onyx is a highly decorative that has been used as a gemstone and a decorative surfacing material. The vitreous material features a silky luster and shimmering translucent finish that’s ideal for countertops and other interior surface applications.
